November is National Family Caregivers Month!

Marcus P. Besser, PhD is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy, Jefferson School of Health Professions, Thomas Jefferson University. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in 1991, and completed a fellowship in Rehabilitation Engineering in 1993, when he joined the faculty at Jefferson. Dr. Besser lectures on evidence-based practice in physical therapy, and teaches the Critical Inquiry component of the curriculum in both the entry-level and post-professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs at Jefferson, and has also taught and given guest lectures for other physical therapy programs in Pennsylvania and New York.

Dr. Besser’s research interests include instrumentation for analysis of human motion and function, gait analysis, and fall risk in older adults. He has published scholarly reports in peer-reviewed journals, as well as authored invited columns in the areas of gait and fall risk.
